Tips for wedding weight loss

Losing weight is never easy. This can make it extra stressful for those looking to lose weight before they get married. While not a prerequisite, it is likely something you will want to do to look your absolute best.

Because your wedding day is something that you will remember for the rest of your life and due to the number of photos and videos you will likely look back on years down the road, it is natural to want to present your best self on your wedding day. Below, we will be going over some of the best tips that you can use in order to shed extra weight before your wedding day.

Start As Soon As Possible.

As mentioned previously, losing weight is not something that is easy nor is it healthy to lose weight rapidly. Healthy weight loss can be achieved at a rate of 1 pound per week. Anything more than that and you are likely not implementing healthy weight loss measures. Thus, you should get the calculator out and do some basic maths. Work backwards to figure out when you need to start to achieve your desired weight loss goal. Keep in mind, losing weight is not something that is going to be predicted down to the exact date. Therefore, you should give yourself some leeway when it comes to losing weight for your wedding. Along with this, you want to factor in all of your dress or suit fittings in order to achieve the perfect fit. Ideally, you want to hit your target weight during your last fitting at a minimum. That way, you can get the perfect fit without having to worry about losing additional weight prior to the wedding.

Preparation Is Key

When you are aiming to lose weight, you need to understand that preparation and planning is everything. Without the necessary preparation, you are bound to fail. One of the biggest miscues that people make when they are looking to lose weight is not meal planning properly. Without proper meal planning, you will be bound to fail due to making the wrong food choices. You will find yourself eating things that you are not supposed to without the proper planning.

Have Help.

Ideally, you want to get someone to work with you who is willing and able to hold you accountable. A good idea would be to work with your significant other on the journey together. That way, you will be able to prep meals together and eat similarly healthy foods. This is going to give you extra motivation and guidance on your difficult journey to weight loss. Or maybe get your bridesmaids together and enjoy the journey as a group.

Relax in the pool before your wedding day

Exercise

A lot of people think they are going to be able to achieve their desired weight loss and fitness goals without exercise. You need to factor in exercise when you are looking to lose weight and you need to be consistent with it. You should be incorporating consistent exercise into your daily routine. That way, you will be able to maximise your caloric burn and keep your metabolism running as efficiently and as effectively as possible.  Also, exercise has an amazing effect on your mindset, and generally, the more you do, the more you want to do, it can be very addictive.

Use Photos

Nothing is going to motivate you more than looking at photos. Likewise, nothing is going to help you see the actual progress that is being made as much as photos either. Instead of monitoring and relying on the scale to tell you everything, you should be looking at photos to really tell the difference. Along with this, you should be looking to find some inspirational photos that will keep your mind on the prize.  Always remember, Muscle weighs more than fat, so even if your weight does

Out of site, Out of Mind

One of the major keys to success when it comes to weight loss is keeping junk food out of your house. You want to be sure that you don’t stock junk food in your kitchen because you will eventually reach for it and ruin your progress. By keeping things out of sight, you will be able to keep them out of mind and give yourself a much better shot at achieving your desired weight loss goals.

Stop Revolving Your Fun Around Eating.

If you are someone that likes to partake in ‘date night’ or something similar, you will want to consider doing physical activities and things that don’t involve eating. That way, you aren’t tempted to eat all of the delicious yet bad for your progress foods on the menu.

Don't Forget To Sleep.

Believe it or not, but not getting sufficient rest can really reduce your ability to lose weight effectively. Not getting enough sleep is one of the major things that can really negatively impact your ability to succeed with your weight loss efforts.

Sleep acts as so much more than just rest, it helps to rebuild your body and its core functions.  Sleep also burns calories. which helps with weight loss. Dont forget that glass of water before bed time – it will help level your blood through the night. Drinking warm water before bed will keep you hydrated through the night and may help the body to rid itself of unwanted toxins. It may also help to relieve pain or cramping in the stomach.
